The household
A French couple in our early 30s – supply chain (NJ) + a software engineer (mostly remote) – with an 8-month-old baby and 2 friendly, well-behaved 2-year-old cats who stay off your floor unless you’d like the company. We’re social, clean, and easygoing; into cooking, hiking, traveling, and the occasional night out with friends.
Who we’re looking for
A respectful, social, and clean roommate who’s responsible with rent.
Good to know
– Our baby is at daycare on weekdays (~7am–5:30pm) and sleeps ~7pm–6:30am, so the place is calm most of the time. Weekends in the kitchen/living room are livelier.
– The family bedrooms and your suite are on different floors, so it’s well separated
– No smoking · no additional pets · shoes off indoors
Location – Jersey City Heights (safe + walkable)
– Walkable into Hoboken via the cliff elevator/walkway; right by the bus stop, 2 min away (bars, waterfront, PATH)
– Light rail 4-min walk; PATH to World Trade Center ~30 min (via Hoboken)
– Bus to NYC/Port Authority ~20 min (119/123, stop 1-min walk)
– Groceries 5-min walk; ShopRite 10 min, Whole Foods/Trader Joe’s nearby
